Luna was referred to Dogwood Referrals at the beginning of the COVID-19 outbreak.
According to her owners she was exercising at home when she fell awkwardly. Luna’s mum assures us she wasn’t doing a Joe Wickes exercise video at the time!! Radiographic examination showed a horrible comminuted fracture of her tibia and fibula.
Luna was taken to surgery that day and surgeon Don Sheahan operated on her broken leg.
Stabilisation of the fracture required the use to two plates as her tibia had shattered into a number of pieces when she fell.
Luna was discharged home the day after surgery. Her Mum reports that she has made an excellent recovery and is now relaxing in isolation like the rest of us
